The School Leader’s Most Powerful Strategies for Preventing and Eliminating Chronic Disruptive Behavior
Presented by Kevin Dill
Want to know the most effective ways to prevent and respond to chronic defiant, disruptive, disrespectful, and destructive behavior in your school? Join Kevin Dill, Ed.S. Behavior Specialist, in this one-day professional development session designed for school administrators who will dive into a dual-focused approach to preventing and responding to defiant and disruptive behavior such as excessive talking, cursing, eloping, physical and verbal aggression, melt-downs, and blow-ups. You'll leave understanding the root causes that really drive chronic behavior and how to prevent these behaviors by building predictable and supportive school and classroom systems. You'll learn proactive techniques that nudge maladaptive students to cooperate and shift challenging behavior such as defiance, without demanding submission or having power struggles.
You’ll also leave equipped with practical “ready-to-use” behavioral tools to coach teachers and staff how to respond to behavior with strategy (not react with emotion) when they’re faced with challenging behavioral moments—such as setting limits, addressing tactics and traps, using the 2-Minute Reset for dysregulated students, coaching teachers through Power Struggles using the ‘Pivot and Pause’ method, and how to hold effective conversations that reset behavior without escalating the situation.
It's time to go beyond just managing behavior- it's time to start changing it.

Educational Service Centers Risk Funding Trust (ESCRFT)
ESCRFT Overview
ESCRFT is a Property and Casualty trust where 70+ school corporations pool their collective insured assets to purchase best-in-class coverage at competitive prices. The standard insurance market for K12 schools is very limited – ESCRFT offers a unique option for Indiana schools. By pooling resources, ESCRFT can access markets that do not traditionally write schools - meaning that each renewal we are creating competition for the business which helps keep pricing in check and coverage at a high level. Additionally, ESCRFT’s many wrap-around services are designed to meet the unique needs of our
members. In summary, ESCRFT has the flexibility to adjust our program based on member needs and industry trends, while simultaneously providing long-term stability in a difficult insurance marketplace.
