Seeking Qualified Candidate
The West Central Indiana Educational Service Center (WCIESC) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Training Support Specialist (TSS).
The Training Support Specialist will oversee and support literacy coaches. This role serves to provide cohesion and communication with the other Training Support Specialists within the State. TSS will receive training in all areas addressed by this initiative and have the experience and ability to train others. Additionally, they will provide ongoing training to coaches and design collaborative experiences to build a regional cadre of mission-driven instructional coaches. They will monitor and report to the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) as well as the WCIESC Executive Director. This position is grant funded for a period of two years with no guarantee for an extension.
Credentials:
-Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
-Minimum of five years of teaching experience
-Experience in Coaching
-Expertise related to literacy practice and pedagogy
-Hold a valid Indiana Teacher’s License
Contract/Salary:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 pending experience and credentials
Full-time position
Benefits provided for a 12-month employee

Debbi Christy has formally accepted the appointment of Interim Director. Cheri Rogers, Administrative Assistant provides additional support during the transitional period until the new Executive Director begins July 1st.

While I report to the WCIESC Board, I am here to lead and support our membership. *Meet the local educational needs of member school corporations by identifying those needs with support from school staff.
*Enhance educational opportunities for students by collaboration of resources to help establish programs, resource materials and serve the educational needs of students.
*Provide for a more efficient use of member schools’ time, materials and financial resources to enhance the quality and quantity of service and educational offerings.
*Allow for every school corporation equity of opportunity between member school corporations.
*Function as a facilitator for the Department of Education for the delivery of programs to schools in West Central Indiana.
